First reviews for SEDUCED BY CHAOS

The reviews have started to come in for SEDUCED BY CHAOS and they're wonderful.

The first is from Sonya at Fallen Angels who says: "Stephanie Julian has done it once again...Lacey and Teodoro’s story is packed full of passion and thrills that will have the readers coming back for more. Ms. Julian has a talent of hooking and keeping them guessing until the very end. This is a must have fantasy romance that will turn up the heat and melt the winter blues away. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Julian has in store for this series."

The second is from Chris at Night Owl Romance: "...Another de Feo brother bites the dust in a spectacular manner...They are the perfect in match in more ways than one, and it’s a great time reading about how they get where they both recognize the other as their mate. Seduced by Chaos is a read worth both your time and money from your reading budget. "

SEDUCED BY DANGER

Seduced by Danger is the sixth book in my Magical Seduction and will be released May 6 from Ellora's Cave.

I love this cover. Sigh.

Blurb:

Michael Corsi has one more man to kill, the one who’d made life a living hell for his lover. But first, Michael wants one last reminder of what he’s fighting for. He needs to see his woman and his son before he goes up against his foe. And probably to his death.

Cara refuses to lose the man she loves to the villain who made her a sexual slave. She’ll do whatever it takes to be sure Michael returns to her—even it means tying him to her very soul.

SHADOW MAGIC is available today!

This trade paperback from Ellora's Cave features the first two stories in my Magical Seduction series, Seduced by Magic and Seduced in Shadow.

Not only are the stories magical, but the thought of holding my very own book in my hands has magic of its own.

The Magical Seduction series has been a dream to write. Hot guys, smart women, steamy sex and happily ever after. How could any of that be bad?

I hope you'll check out the stories and come back for more. Next up, SEDUCED BY DANGER on May 5. I'll be revealing the cover this week.

Etruscan folletta Scarlata guards an enclave of magical creatures in the Pennsylvania hills. This human male doesn't belong in her forest. But he will belong to her.

Seduced in Shadow:
Antonin de Feo has been tasked with the job of keeping Fiorella Johannson's luscious body safe from harm. But when someone tries to kidnap the beauty with a secret, Antonin has the perfect place to keep her safe: in his bed.

Dear Author Bitchery Writing Award for Hellagood Authors

So, I know you're really not supposed to Google your name because you never know what you'll find. So imagine my surprise when I found out the first book in my Magical Seduction series, SEDUCED BY MAGIC, had been chosen to be one of eight books in the Erotic Romance category of the Dear Author Bitchery Writing Award for Hellagood Authors.

The books were nominated by readers and bloggers of Dear Author and Smart Bitches.

The contest is designed like the basketball March madness tournament. Readers who wish to participate will have a few days to fill out their bracket of winners. Once the tournament begins, they'll be holding daily votes to determine which books advance through the tournament. It's book against book within the categories, and then, as the tournament advances, books will face off against one another across genre and subgenre until they reach the Book of the Year.

There are eight books in each category. I'm the only e-book in the Erotic Romance category and I'm up against print books by authors like Maya Banks, Beth Kery and Joey K. Hill. You can't even imagine how thrilled I am to be in that company.

Please sign up and help me advance. I'd really appreciate it.

Seduced by Chaos Release Day!

SEDUCED BY CHAOS, the fifth book in my Magical Seduction series from Ellora's Cave, will be released today.

Which makes this a special day. Not even sullen teenagers, misfiring web programs and (ack!) a new hairstylist can dampen today's energy.

And that's because my story, the one I've slaved over, cried over, thought over and slept on will finally take its bow. The outside world will be able to read all about Lacey and Teo and share in their romance.

As a romance writer, that's what I strive for, to make the reader fall in love along with my hero or heroine. Not just to come along for the ride but to share the emotional highs and lows. I want you, the reader, to form an emotional attachment to the characters in my books.

I write paranormal so, along with the romance, I also have to make you believe that magic is real. And it is.

Magic happens every day all over the country. Fingers flying over keyboards create a certain kind of magic that transports you to Victorian England, on safari in the Amazon, or in the heart of New York City. Those of us who wield that magic try not to question it and only hope others will come along for the ride.

Here's hoping you enjoy Teo and Lacey's trip. It's a wild one.

SEDUCED BY CHAOS excerpt #2

To start release week, here's another short taste of SEDUCED BY CHAOS, due Wednesday from Ellora's Cave.

Excerpt:

Lacey’s expression held no anger, no disdain. In fact, her eyes held a trace of heat.

He wondered how fast that would change if he told her everything.

Their gazes caught and held. And held. Finally, she blinked and looked away, under the pretense of tapping a beer no one had asked for.

Teo glanced to his left. Rosie and Rio were holding a private conversation, their heads close together. Rosie’s tone was teasing, Rio’s husky. Teo knew if he looked closely, he’d see the flush of desire on Rosie’s cheeks and a sexual gleam in Rio’s eyes.

And so much love, Teo swore he could touch it like a forcefield around them. It came from being blood bound. The ancient ritual of a blood exchange during sex tied a couple’s souls together through centuries and lives. It made them more than a couple. It made them a whole.

Teo looked back at Lacey, who looked up at that moment, beer in hand. She placed it in front of him.

“I can take care of myself.” Her voice held no heat, arms crossed loosely over her chest. “I’ve actually had a lot of practice at it.”

Something in her tone scratched at his brain, hinted at darkness in her past. Not that he saw any trace of it in her expression. That was smooth and clear. Too smooth.

He’d sensed something in her before. Something hidden. He wanted to know what.

Tilting his chin up just a hair, he watched her eyes narrow. “I don’t recall saying you couldn’t take care of yourself.”

Her beautiful face tilted to the left. “I could have gotten rid of them myself.”

Yeah, she probably could have. Eventually. And without the mess he’d made of it.

“But,” she said, “I…appreciate the effort.”

2009 Philadelphia Flower Show

I always look forward to the Philadelphia Flower Show. It brings with it the promise of spring, warm weather and, most importantly, flowers.

This year's theme is Bella Italia and the exhibitors attempted to recreate the feel of of the various regions and cities of Italy.

A lifesize gondola in a Venice canal, formal gardens in Rome, hillside vineyards in Tuscany, lush wooded gardens on northern islands, and the art of Florence were all represented. Even the underwater realm of Atlantis made an appearance.
